Sometimes when Christians talk about the “fruit” in their lives, it can catch non and new Christians off guard. They may wonder, What’s the deal with Christians and fruit trees?
But biblically speaking, the fruit of the Spirit refers to nine characteristics displayed by people who are filled with the Holy Spirit.
When we find freedom in Christ and get healthy—when we’re unburdened by our sexual brokenness—we are more likely to reflect the fruit of the Spirit.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
When these attributes show up in our lives, it’s a sign of growth and maturity in Christ. We’re living out who God created us to be.
So, What fruit are you growing in your life this year?
